Yesterday I scored on about 10 lbs of this mat'l from my dentist, along with the box it originally came in. This morning I called the Mfr, (Kodak) and inquired about the composition. I was told that the film backers are 98% lead, 1% tin and 1% antimony. I was cautioned that they need to be disposed of in an environmentally approved manner. I told them that I was aware of that and would act appropriately! Well, at least we now know what's in the Kodak stuff. Perhaps the other film makers are similar? --Shuz

I get the foil from my Dentist and I treat it as pure Lead. I mark the ingots "DEN" I have shot round ball with my BP pistol and it works great. It also melts fast because it is thin.

I use it as pure lead and mix it with block tin for my b/p loads.
