View Full Version : Apple iOS8.1 is out - iPAD 2 only info

Got the notification on my iPad that 8.1 software is out. Have not done it yet. Am waiting for some feedback! Got sucked into the 8.02 upgrade on the iPAD2 and it is slooooooooooooooooooow and Bluetooth connectivity to my Bose speakers and other things does not work at all. Supposedly all that has been addressed in 8.1.

I will go to school on someone else for now on this upgrade after getting burned earlier!


If anyone has good news, please post it. This is for iPAD 2 only, even though the upgrade is for all Apple things..........I only care about the iPAD2.

I waited for 8.1 and skiped 8.0 for my iphone/iPad. Wish that I had stayed with 7. Really did a number on my iPads. Not happy. Will keep updating until Apple gets it right, and they will.

I had downloaded 8.02 and was unable to use my Iphone 5s through my Toyota stereo. Downloaded 8.1 last night and my Bluetooth problem is resolved.

Not going to rush out and try it.

I tried 8. Aside from nonperformance issues, they didn't add anything to 8 that I want. I have a 16Gb device, so the amount of bloat in iOS 8 is unacceptable. I went back to 7 and JB'd to stop the automatic update downloads.

I'll stick with 7.1.2

Amazing what I don't know about this stuff. Got an ipad a few weeks ago, we are learning.

It said it wanted to update, so I did. No idea if it's better or worse, still tryin' to figure it out.

Did have to get another router to put in the shop nearest the house so the ipad would work in the house (PC, phone line and phone company router in far end of shop).

The old dog is still learning new tricks.

After totally screwing up my iPad with 8.0 and only partially unscrewing it with 8.0.2 I think I'll hold off any updates...

Well there is a bug fix in this release for read messages showing as not read so I'm going to install it. I use texting a LOT for work and that's been bugging the **** out of me.
