Hi Guys,

I scored some WW Autocomp powder locally, it seems to fall between AA5 and AA7, and very near my current .41 Mag powder SR-4756(only have a few pounds left so I need to locate alternative powders)

I normally push my lead 220g Keith SWC around 1100 fps...I use AA#9 for my "real" .41 loads.

Hodgdon shows a 220 JSP at 1154fps with 8.3grains of Autocomp....

has anyone run any AutoComp across the chrony otherwise I'll likely start at 8 grains of Autocomp.

thanks

I haven't, but I have picked up some CFE pistol which actually had quite a bit of lead data on the hodgdon site. I can't wait to try it. Definitely looks promising. I'm also a fan of AA #9 as well.

I haven't used WAC in revolver cartridges yet, but have used it extensively for 9mm Major (124gr FMJ @ 1415fps). WAC likes to be near the higher end of the pressure range. It's a great medium burn rate powder that fits near WSF, HS6, #5, Silhouette.
