What size bore on those "proto-rifles"?

Barrel mic's .731-inch bore, constricting to .727-inch ± .0005 inch at choke/taper. Among the major problems are illness - mine, not his. Were either rifle ready, I couldn't lift it much less pop a cap.

It is intended to use three projectiles à la Gillette - 540-grain RB (light), the 775-grain conical shown (medium), and a 880-to-910 grain conical (anticipating what was purported to be fiction in "Jurassic Park" is real). Because modern materials (heat treated after metal work) are used for barrel and breech rather than modest materials such as 1137 or 12L14 or 1018, the safe limit loading of black powder is: How tough do you think you are?

The unfortunate thing is, by the time either is completed, I'll probably be too old to use either as they ought to be used.
