Used Book Store Score!

The elderly couple decided to close up their used book store. They are @ 75% discount now.

I scored these desirable gun books for a total of $23.01 out-the door! Both have lots of cast boolit information. :)

"The Bullets Flight, the ballistics of small arms" by Franklin W Mann

"The Gun and its development" by W. W. Greener

I miss the old used book stores. There seems to be fewer and fewer of them. They were always a good source of old out of print books. It seems that people no longer read, I guess old books just get thrown out. A real shame

The two used book stores I deal with in NYC have NO gun stuff and barely any military history.

The Bullets Flight is considered the gold standard as far as exterior ballistics goes. It is a text book and should be considered as such but is interesting and fun reading. Put yourself in the place of Mann, Pope, Neidner and others in the book and let your imagination wander.
The Gun and It,s Development is British and a bit dry but if you are into double guns it is a must.
Both are a must for a proper library.

Have both of them, and yes, essential reading IMHO.
