Oakland County Sportsman's Club

I'm considering joining the Oakland County Sportsman's Club in Clarkston Michigan. Are any members here current or former members? If so what did/do you think of the place?

Haven`t been back down there since a trap shoot about 35 years back. What I do remember about the place is there seemed to be a lot of drinking going on in the club house bar. That was enough reason, for me, to not go back. I`ve heard good things otherwise about the club and the functions it puts on. I just don`t mix booze and guns.Robert

Imagine that drinking thing may have changed a bit by now. Wondering what kind of shooting activities you enjoy?

What type of shooting are you looking for? There are other local clubs also that may be of interest.

Mostly rifle and pistol but I would like to get into the shotgun more.

I have never been to any shoots over there, but I do uspsa with some that do shoot over there. You might go to some of those type matches and feel out if you would like to pursue joining any of the clubs. I know there are a lot opportunities over that way. Best of luck.
