I appreciate the guidance offered here to this returner-to-reloading. I did buy a .358 diameter 125 grain RNFP gang mold from Lee, and have refined about 50 pounds of roofing lead into pure ingots. I have yet to cast my first slugs as I'm searching for local linotype to get a harder mix. BUT, i had already had on hand 1500 commercial cast 158 grain LSWC for .357, and 1000, 200 grain RNFP for my .44 Magnum. I'm wanting to develop a mild, accurate load for my Ruger 77/357 and my 6 inch Ruger GP100. I loaded three different weights of Trail Boss within the .357 Magnum range listed on the marketer's website: minimum, midway and .2 grains below maximum. Went to the site because Trail Boss isn't listed in my 1999 Lee loading manual. Now I have to wait until I get another invite to the range.

Sounds like fun. I've never tried Trail Boss, as I like high performance loads. Enjoy!

Trail Boss is very nice for 38/357 from a safety standpoint because you can't double charge it. Not much to experiment with, it simply works. Fun load and really light recoil. You can get some great trigger practice because you won't be worrying about recoil.
