#1 son acquired some commercial cast boolits from a friend at work. The friend had gotten them from his father. Son also got a Dillion450 press if that helps to date when these boolits were cast/acquired. The boolits are 44 cal 245 gr bevel base semi-wadcutters. The box that they were in is labeled Cole's , Santa Monica with a 213 area code phone number. I would like to find out where these boolits were cast and what mold was used. Loaded them up and they have a COL of 1.610" so they should work in my Marlin 1894 without a length problem. I have lived in So Cal for about 50 years but never went to the west side that much. I would appreciate any information about Cole's and their boolits. Thank You Duckiller

Show us a pic and we can probably tell you the mold.

Cole's was a gun shop in Santa Monica. I the last time I was in there was with my dad in the late 7O's. It's long gone now. I doubt that they cast their own, probably repacked from their supplier.
