? about Ranch Dog boolits

I just got my 45-70 (460-425)mold from RanchDog and wanted a little advice. Are you guys that are using them using them as cast, water dropped or heat treated. Any insights are appreciated as I am still new to casting.

I water drop all my bullets including those from Ranch Dog moulds , as for me it simply works out easyer

I then tumble lube and size some and tumble lube and shoot as cast others
It depends on the bore size of the gun I am shooting them out of

I even have run them thru the Lyman 450 and used standard lube with good results


Just my .02
If the as cast bullets fit your chamber
I would try them that way first
The best shooting load I have in my 45/70 Marlin is a as cast bullet
