I have some 9, 40 and .45 bullets lubed with LLA that I want to re-cast. It seems that I read here that you should not re-melt LLA lubed bullets in your casting pot (Lee bottom pour). If so, I'll just wait until I melt and flux WWs in my large, cast iron pot.

Thanks, Cloudpeak

LLA turns into a sticky, stinky, black gooey mess. I would never put it in my casting pot.......again.

I have never heard this. I remelt them all the time in mine. I dont use "straight" alox but use it in some lubes. I know of people that use 50-50 alox beeswax for fluxing with no problem. You will get lots of smoke with it. If you ever want to clean lube from boolits just put in a pot that wont be used for food and boil them for awhile. Let cool and lube floats to top and hardens. It can be loosened with a knife around the outside and picked right off. Softer lubes may need cooling in the fridge first. Lube can be melted and reused even.
