Does anyone know the difference between a Bushnell 3200 Elite handgun scope and a Bushnell trophy handgun scope. Both are 2-6x32. I have a Elite on my T/C 357 max and like it, but could use a new scope for my T/C 30-30.. The trophy is a little cheaper in price though and was wondering what the difference was. The Elite has an adverised 18-20 inch eye relief and that is what I need with shooting the Creedmoor position when shooting silhouettes

I'd imagine it has more to do with the hardware including glass and coatings more so than the outward appearance. I've used several Bushnell elite 3200 models over the years on mine and friends' guns. All were really nice. I'd lean towards the higher end model since it will go on a handgun.

But it as far as the specifics, I don't know. Maybe a quick email to Bushnell could clear things up.

Elite is tougher with one piece tube and etched reticle. It also has the antifog coating.

I have an Bushnell Elite 3200 2-6x that has survived for over 10 years on both a 500 S&W and on 44 magnums. It's my favorite handgun scope because of the long eye relief. I also have a Bushnell Banner 2-6x, which isn't a bad scope for the money, but I wouldn't trust it on a heavier recoiling handgun.

Neither of the Bushnells are as sharp optically as my Leupold 2x scope, or my Burris 1.5-4x scopes, but the longer eye relief on the Bushnells make them much more user friendly on a wider variety of handguns.

I have Leupold, Tasco (old) and Burris handgun scopes. The Burris scopes are the only ones that have ever broken, and they have done so several times. Burris fixed them. However, I had to ship a Burris 6x rifle scope back four times before they fixed it. I don't buy Burris anymore.

Take care, Tom

The Bushnell Elite series is made in Japan, I believe that the lower grades are made in China or Phillipines.

As far as pistol scopes i currently have 5- Leupold,s (my favorite ) 3-Burris ,1- Nikon and 3- Tasco vintage pro class scopes. i have also owned Bushnell Trophy & Elite scopes .
Leupold & Burris have the largest field of view by far and the best designed duplex cross hairs, as compaired to any other brand of scope i have checked the specs on.
