Well, just woke up today, but last night I taught a new friend how to reload. Now he has the bug, and said he's going to look online for his own reloading set to purchase. :-D

One at a time... :-)

New Lee .314 sizer arrived so I sized up the 200 boolits I had made, dip lubed them all, then resized. Laid out in a container, labeled for size, weight, and gun intended. Small batch for some of you guys but the biggest I've done to date. Next I can start loading some of those same boolits to see how they do at the range.

Most likely going to be sitting on top of IMR 4895 probably about 27-30 grains. Tames the old russian girls down pretty well. Makes them almost civilized!

We'll yesterday I got called into work, then I converted 50 rounds of '06 into 8mm for my bro in law (he did most of the work). My wife and I went shooting, she shot 50 rounds of 223 to get sighted in for huntin season, 400 rounds of 38 special ammo and 75 rounds of 20 ga ammo, while my bro in law shot 50 rounds of 8mm Mauser with the lee 324-175 tumble lubed with 45-45-10 over 15 grn of 700x powder.

Then we went to lowes to get some adapters for an AC unit (when did plugs get so expensive?) came home from that and the wife had home made buffalo wings made

Pulled my well pump, set the new pump too deep to pick up dirt and got air in my water. Had to raise it, flush and shorten the hose. Works fine now. Put the pump in the center of the water column. I got a good measurement with a length of 50-50 tin lead on a rope. well is 110' and water is 32' from bottom. I set to center and no more air.

I powder coated 200 rounds of 358-125-rf and loaded them into 38 special and 9mm to try out this weekend. Followed that with loading about 300 rounds of 9mm with Lee 356-95-rf over a charge of Titewad for practice loads. Loading all done on a Lee classic cast turret press.
Then helped the wife clean the house because she has company coming over tonight.

I worked also. However on one of my parts runs I picked up a Lee loader in 45LC and brass and boolits from my parts guy to load for him. Mainly so I can use a Lee Loader, been itching to really see how they work.

So far I've barely woken up. Have to go to the doctors first thing before work so they can check my knee. Yesterday I worked, like always. When I got home I installed a Skinner Alaskan and a rear band w/ sling swivel on a Marlin 336. Hoping to get out this afternoon to dial it in.

Didn't even see a mould but I went into my loading room to work on a knife I'm putting together. Nice Green River boning knife for my brother, hate to show up at his deer lease empty-handed. Old school oil finish takes time but I feel the results are worth it. When I lose track of the number of coats I'm pretty close to done. ;-)

I did a 3 gun bowling pin match, but should have gone dove hunting instead (day 1 phase 1) and got a speeding ticket from some youngster (I have underwear older than him) with a sharp pencil for 70 in a 60, right hand lane/ nobody in front or behind me and a second ticket cuz my insurance card was expired, while on my way home. I was trying to think if I had enough $ in my account to pick up my rx's, & must have sped up a bit. Before the little skidmark got back on the blacktop he had his lights on to ruin someone else's day, He must have been going for a record.

Headed for the club range, to set up for the fall rendezvous this coming weekend. Many hands made light work.
Then a couple guys tried out some newly acquired firearms. One, a very good quality half stock Pennsylvania, marked A. Miller, '90, in .45 cal. He found it at a yard sale last weekend for $500, the rifle is easily worth over $2000. Good shooter!
The next interesting gun was found at a local pawn shop for $150. 1800's period single barrel 16 ga. cap lock shotgun, of an action and breech type none of us had ever seen before. Fluid steel barrel, not damascus surprisingly. Patterned well, and shoots round ball very well.
If you are in the NW Montana area, let me know if you need directions for the shoot next weekend, weather is sounding good.

Loaded 30 test rounds of my sub-sonic 54R load. This is the first time for me using a Lyman "M" die. I hope the "M" die improves my groups. The reason I loaded 30 is because there are 10 each with 1) CCI-200, 2) CCI-300, Rem 2 1/2 primers.

I have used all 3 of these primers for this load but figured while I'm testing why not see if there is one that works better than another.

I also loaded 100, 158gr (home cast Lee .358) in .357mag.

Installed a Merit aperture for the Skinner sight on a Marlin 336. I will be buying another as I really like it. Only downside is it takes two hands to open the aperture, it unthreads from the stem otherwise. But closing the aperture is one hand work and it's really robust. Also started tumbling the 1k of LC 308 brass I received from Grumpa.

Today my buddy and I went berm mining. I'm guessing we have between 150 and 200 pounds of range scrap for our efforts. Tomorrow I'll finish screening out the last bit of dirt and get ready to make ingots.

I shot my 45acp pistol at a steel plate shooting match. Three sets of targets; all one has to do is knock them down. Do it until time or ammo runs out. It was fun, but I am slow, shaky, and old.

Started stretching fence for the new dog lot. Mr Leroy is quite the escape artist....laughs at underground fences as he runs through them, chews through anything other than steel....could dig a tunnel two states over, and I think...may actually have the ability to 'transport' star trek style. He's a mess...but we love him. His new digs....cedar poles, 8ft tall, 48" woven wire field fence , and an additional 4 strands of smooth wire to the top. I'm sure he'll beat it....but I do enjoy the challenge!! :)

Well i got up at 9:15 am which is really late for me. I watched several hunting and fishin shows then went out to the garage and emptied out my lee 4-20 so i could load it up with a batch of 50-50 coww and lead pipe alloy. I proceeded to cast a couple hundred lee .358-158rf boolits. Temp has sure dropped the last few days and im loving it.
