I didn't notice the difference between the production IV and 4-20 pots ,only looked at price. DUH ! Anyway There are no support posts on my pot so no way to add the lee mold guide support. Anyone have a cool permanent/adjustable support idea for the smaller production 4 pot?

I don't bother w/ the mold guide. I cut plywood to fit between the posts. Stack it up to the height I want. Provides a lot better support.

I also use wood on my 20 pound lee pot, piece of 2X4 slides right in and then a piece of 3.8
Left over Marble ( scrap ) on top of that. If the pot drips it wont stick to the marble,
But is will at times stick to the wood.

I have found NO need to have it permanent. It's just to easy the way it is.
+ at times it does need a slight shim depending on the mold.

For me the supplied mold guide is useless, some folks like it.

Pieces of wood plywood are marked for use for supports. Differant pieces for various mouls. This works for me and is cheap, but then so am I.

I built a stand to hold my production pot to give it stability. I am now working on a flat metal shelf that attaches to the stand so nothing is permanently attached to my melter. I bought a piece of 8" by 24 " flat metal and bent it in a squared C shape. I plan to screw it into the wood base on each side, so you just slide the melter into the stand and it hits the shelf once it's attached. I haven't cut it yet or I would post a pic.
