what would it be? For now, I would like to get a mold to cast bullets for both 9mm and 38 Super. I will probably get as close to round nose as possible. Would you get a 124, 130 or 135 grain bullet? I am sure with time I would probably buy other molds, but for now only one and probably from Hardline Industries or Accurate. Hardline has the more pure round nose.

I have a lee 356-120-tc mold.... don't regret a thing... can be sized to 356 or 358.. great accuracy... not too difficult to cast with......... great mold

I second the Lee 356-120 TC. It is just a great bullet.

My most accurate and reliable feeding is the NOE-358-135-RF
The Lee 356-120-tc would be my second choice. The Lee is only slightly less accurate in my 9mm.

Lee 356-120TC and the N.O.E. 358 135Gr. FN RG2 cavity PB are my favorites for the Super and the 9mm.

Of all my 9mm molds, my lee 356-120-tc my favorite. The 6cav makes plenty of goodness fast.

I have an old Cramer trio for round nose 9mm a s 38 super. Pretty interesting mould and casts nice rounds for being as old as I am. But I also have RCBS round nose and conical flat nose as well as a Lee converted holow point for 9mm. All functioned fine in my Glock, the XDS, the Kahr PM9, and the 1911.

Fluke timing on getting it and Forrsest guided me to the handles.

I guess it really depends on what the use is for your 9.

If this is just plinkin and fun than the Lee TC mold is a great starting point, if your gonna carry then buy Mihec's 9mm HP mold 4 banger version. With the pins you can do a slighty heavy version for the super round HP pins will make a lot of 124 fast and you can run the hex pin for looks if ya get that urge.

Other makers can provide similar designs so your basically looking at your budget for a deciding factor on who to buy from.

115708This one works in the Super as well as in .38 revolvers, if you want a heavier bullet.

MP 359-125. It's 135 grains in solid form and 125 grains in hollowpoint. It's been really accurate in everything I've tried it in. I don't have a 38 Super but I do run them in full bore 357 Mag loads.

for carry I second the MIHEC'S hollow point , with 75/25 ,clip on /stick on, wheel weights .they open up beautifully through water, at only 900/1,000 FPS.

For 9MM's my Ideal 358242 (120 gr) is consistantly most accurate followed by the Lee 356-125-2R and Lyman 356402 and finally the Lee 356-120-TC. Main thing... it depends on what your weapon likes.

Another vote for the Lee 356-120-TC.

depending on your barrel's actual size, my first choice is the Lee 358-125 RF
OR
the Ranch Dog TL356-135 RF
the Ranch Dog also came with a Gas Check design.

yet another vote for the Lee 356-120-TC. BTW, the Lyman 356402 gets 2nd runner up. Many say they are the same bullet! bill boy

Make sure the mold casts large enough for your barrel. I had a RCBS 124 TC and it was not large enough for my CZ p-07. The barrel needed a .358 boolit. A mold that casts solid and has the pins for HP bool it's would be the most versatile.

I have several 9mm's and two 38 supers pistols , I have 3 different moulds the Saeco #377 122gr TC, #384 122gr RN, #929 145grSWC, which weigh more with WW alloy.

Usually the 929 and the 377 are the most accurate , but in my EAA Witness Elite Match in 9mm the 384 is the most accurate . in the other pistols it is usually the least accurate of the three.

IMO at least a 125gr boolet sized to at least .357 dia
.

If I could only keep one of my molds for the 9mm, 380, 38 super, or 38 sp. it would be the lyman 358242 120g.

Is that the one they list on their site as the 357-125? I am looking for a 38 super mold myself and I love the mp molds i've used.

Yes, he uses multiple engravings for the same mold design unfortunately. The first number is the diameter and the second is the weight(for this one, not all of them). I have a solid version that's engraved 357-135 and a hollowpoint that's engraved 359-125.
