dont know about the rest of you but its sure been scarce around here! Ive only got about 300 lbs left in stash. The printer ive gotten some in the past called yesterday and said he had a 100lbs hed part with for 60 cents a lb but after the 120 mile round trip that price is boosted quite a bit by gas! Good thing is theres a gun show friday in route so its only about 15 miles out of my way to get it. So i guess by the time i go to this gunshow its probably going to run me about 10 bucks a lb to make the trip!!!!!! Makes me cry to think just a year ago i picked up 1800 lbs for 30 cents a lb!!

Just a couple of days ago I picked up 660# from a guy that had it in storage for 20+ years. He just wanted to get rid of it; I suggested $20 for each 5 gal bucket. Came out to 5.5 cents a Lb. I didnt know this stuff is just like gold!!!

How do you use so much so fast. Pouring straight lino would take a while and a LOT of casting.

I make alot of bullets out of 5050 ww/lyno and out of #2. I cry that im about out of it but i actually have probably a half a million or more bullets casted and ready to load.

In 1994 just after I retired, I had a little over 400 lbs. of lino in buckets and just wanted to get rid of it. I gave it to a fellow who was just keeping his business alive because of federal regs. He went under anyway, the government was requiring him to put in expensive scrubbers that cost over 900,000.00 at that time and his little foundry wasn't doing that much business in 10 years. The foundry had been in his family for over 100 years. I predict the day will come that even the small casters will be shut down by "health" regulations.

Art Green is selling linotype. Somewhere around $1 per pound plus shipping. I've got a standing order for 100 pounds a month for the next 3.5 years. He doesn't seem to be having all that much trouble getting it. 310-274-1283. Tell him Ken told you to call.
