Interesting. There was a rash of that going around. I try to stay outta that stuff and never bothered with those "I'm leaving" threads. Just removing negativity and drama has a positive impact on someones life. I'm here to stay. Yall are stuck with me.

I find the whole making a post when you're leaving childish. No doubt their knowledge will be missed. But the drama has dropped off drastically lately.

Everything I know about cast ( a drop in the bucket) compared to a lot of you came from here. Gear and others may have been gurus, when they came here, but I suspect they learned a lot here too, so I see it as a sad thing that they want to take the info elsewhere, but each to his own. There is more info here than I will ever get put to use, so I think I will just stay here.

I've mentioned the other forum before and it is not the CBA forum.

Suffice to say the cast bullet sectioned there is moderated by a former, but banned member, from here and numerous other forums. Comments concerning this forum and members here are indicative of why he was banned. Need I say more........

I have my beliefs on why but won't share them here, or anywhere. I fully understand his reasoning if I am right.

I'm actually surprised people leave for the "various" reasons. I really don't see a tremendous amount of quarreling here considering it's an internet forum. It's hard at times to express oneself to complete understanding some due simply to regional differences but there is no need to get nasty. Post here exactly like you would if the person was standing face to face with you. I've had a few people get a bit rash with me generally through pm's but I pretty much ignore them. I don't put them on ignore I just don't pay attention to them.
Reasonable debates and differences should be encouraged and respected . Why the internet forums have to be so different than the same conversation across a table is beyond me.

I had been reloading and casting for over 25 years when I found this site. Thought I knew all I would want or need to know. I soon found out that I still had more to learn than to teach and most of that came from reading Gear's posts. I never felt like I was being talked down to. The man simply knows his stuff and I appreciate what I got from him. He didn't get the Golden Boolit for nothing.
