I'm pretty sure the Colt is an 1849 Pocket. It is all matching by the way, including the wedge. Too bad the cylinder is gone. The other revolver is anybody's guess. It has no makers mark. Only a serial number on the butt. Somebody's project obviously.

What's going on with the cylinder on that second one? Is this meant to be a real gun or a fancy toy? It ain't gonna shoot too well with no chambers and a .5" cylinder gap...

I am no gunsmith, but that screw on the second one 'securing' the cylinder does not seem factory....

I never said that :grin:. These were part of a group of guns I bought including a 4" S&W 586-2 with Belgian proofmarks. There was also a beautiful S&W Model 1 Second Issue that I didn't buy because we could not come together on the price. I should have taken some pictures of it.

I think you may have something there with the second one. Converted to a toy in days gone by? Also, do I see the cylinder ratchet on the barrel end of the second one? You can see some angles, and the 3rd pick you can see it in the cut out.
