I've been casting boolits since 1999. I'll be 40 on Monday. For the first two years I used a Lee 10lb. bottom pour. I then got a Lee 20lb. bottom pour. It severed its purpose for a good while. It has become a dripping leaky mess as of this last year.
My wife, bless her heart, bought me(let me order) a new RCBS pro melt furnace for my birthday. What a gift! I've wanted one of these for some time. We just had our our 16 year anniversary on July 24. She has not disappointed on "gun" gifts over the years. I can't wait to get this thing. I have a birthday discount from Midway right now, and a $50 mail in rebate.
I'm kinda bummed about turning 40 but this will help ease the blow!

I know, 40 is still just a young pup to some of you guys! Thanks again to so many of you guys over the years for all the help, input, and advice on all things casting, reloading, shooting, and life lessons.
You guys are my extended family.
God bless all of you.

And as for turning 40, I left that age 25 years ago. :(

Enjoy your birthday and the nice present. Larry didn't send me a birthday discount last couple of years, guess I better remind him on my next order. Comes in handy for stuff (like your pot) that he generally doesn't put on sale.

I'll be 50 tomorrow. My wife bought me an ingot mold, a hand primer, a lee quick trim with dies for 38sp, 357, 45acp and 45Colt and a Marlin Model 60 22lr. Life is good

Happy birthday to you both. Hey, getting older isn't all that bad. Ok so rifles do get heavier but it's not our fault if gravity is getting stronger! Actually, they don't really get heavier but sometimes we do get lazier. [smilie=1:

Happy birthday waco! I turned 40 on the 17th. Wish my wife of 22 years would buy me something to help support the habit! I Had to buy my own gift, a Ruger Mini 6.8 SPC! I am jealous of the RCBS furnace though!

Happy Birthday Waco. As best as I can remember 40 wasn't so bad. However you are far from over the hill. In fact you can't see the hill from where you are. I have socks that are approaching 40 years old!

I Had to buy my own gift, a Ruger Mini 6.8 SPC!They got them 6.8 SPC? Great! It had to happen. I miss my Mini-14.

Back to topic; I've got 21 years on you and still no sign of the 'hill'! I remember when I turned forty. My nephews and nieces (who were young teens/pre-teens) all exclaimed "Uncle Peter is forty!" I didn't see the big deal.

I'm kinda bummed about turning 40.....

I never wasted a moments thought on the topic when I crossed that bridge. Too busy living and raising my children.
Happy Birthday and congrats on the upgrade. [smilie=p:[smilie=p:[smilie=p:

TODAY'S THE DAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Congratulations on your new furnace, it will be around for quite a while to remind you how much SWMBO cares for you. That makes it much more enjoyable.

Today also happens to be our youngest daughter's 28th birthday, so we have 2 celebrations to enjoy. Fun for all.

Happy Birthday Waco and enjoy that new present! 40 isn't "old" . . . you're only as old as you let yourself feel! The 40s were good to me as were the 50s and now the 60s. Enjoy each day for the blessing that it is and it sounds like you have a wonderful partner to share those days with! Have fun!
