I just ordered a Saeco lubrisizer which I found at a good price, along with the appropriate sizing die .459. I'm planning to shoot 45-70, and I'm darn new at black powder, 47-50, cast boolits and everything in between.

Some kind friends helped me reload my first set of boolits. The projectiles were cast with Lyman 457658 and Lyman 457125 moulds respectively.

I need to figure out which Saeco top punch I need for each of these boolit types if I so choose to cast them.

Now I realize that there are folks who use tin foil with spit and bailing wire and get amazing results but I'm a man of exactness - obsessive compulsiveness really so I would like to figure out what the right top punch is.

Is it expected that I use Saeco moulds only if I am going to use a Saeco luberisizer? Seems silly that this information isn't readily available; or am I missing something basic?

I suggest you contact Swede Nelson at NOE Bullet Molds. He has lots of top punches that are both Lyman and Saeco style and perhaps he has one that will suit you.

Gosh wish I had checked here! I took a guess based on looking at the Saeco mould chart and matched the Lyman 457658 to the Saeco #45702 top punch for 'Spitzer' bullets.

Here is the Saeco mould chart (http://www.redding-reloading.com/saeco6pageflyer.pdf) and here is one for Lyman (http://www.three-peaks.net/bullet_molds.htm)

Maybe I will contact them and if they have what I'm looking for cancel the Natchez order. Their punches seem to be a lot cheaper!
