Onlymenotu,

I think that they now sell a complete Handi Rifle in .357 but you may not want to get it... They fitted the .357 and .44 Mag on the Shotgun frame instead of the Rifle frame. As a result, you can't get any high pressure rifle barrels fitted to that frame. You could add a shotgun barrel though.

Tks for the replys...guys
@Lucky Joe been to GBO fourms in the past doing research.... tks for the links.....* but not realy willing to sift through all the 380 pgs of stuff to try to find out what the 30 cal barrels slug at the google search of GBO fourms sucks*

@garandsrus the lower pressure frame doesnt realy bother me one way or the other,,,, but the lack of iron sights does* and i don't like the synthetic stocks ..... so i'll be going the sb2 frame route...

Since you want to build an iron sighted gun, why not get the perfect 30 cal. cast boolit shooter and get the 30-30. It already comes with the lower "straight" stock & iron sight setup.

@ grizzleebaer...... Acctualy what i want is the 357* preferably on a sb2 frame* with iron sight/ but tapped for scope mounts,,,, i want the choice to use either,,, or and not be stuck with the scope only option ,,, on a cinnamon laminated stock,,,, as for the 30- 30.... i already own the H&R 38-55,,,, witch will do any thing the 30-30 will/ can do,,, and yea i know the 357 barrel can be fitted to the 38-55 frame,,,, but i want a different frame so we can shoot both guns at the same time,,,, so my thoughts were 308,30-06,45colt or the 45-70 and i don't own any of the above cal's but would like to own a 30 cal....... of some form they only offer the 308 on a cinnamon laminated stock with no iron sights,,,, in the end i most likely will have to go brown on blue...... witch i'm alright with....

My 45-70 frame is back at H&R for the past month and I just called them to see if they got it. Well they have it but two of the three barrels I ordered are out of stock! I ordered a 410/45 colt barrel, a 30-30 barrel and a 357 mag batrrel the only one they have is the 357 barrel. They told me I have to wait about another 6 to 8 weeks for the barrels currently out of stock.

By the way get the 308 barrel as it is easyer to find really accurate loads in my experience.

my handi SB2 30-06 from the bench at the 100 yard target;I never did much to it except add a nylon spacer to the forearm screw and free float the barrel a little and change the reacoil pad to a thinner pad
