Daughter In-Law Has Stage 4 Cancer

My daughter in-law, she is married to my wives son, had breast cancer last year and at the age of 30 had a double mastectomy. After undergoing several months of chemo and radiation she seemed to have licked it. Yesterday just a few months later they found a lump and told her she has stage 4 Cancer.

She has initially been given the option of radical chemo and radiation or "quality of life" until the end.

She is sorely in need of prayers not only for her health but her well being and it would not hurt to pray for my son in-law who has stayed strong through this nightmare.

One daughter in Qatar and one with cancer. Tough year so far.

She has volunteered for experimental treatment as regular stuff seems a lost cause at this point. The bright side is that her attitude is great and after her brush with obamacare both her and her husband are not big fans anymore

Sorry to hear that prayers will be sent. I have had many a family member battle cancer. Some have won and some have won and then lost. I cannot being to understand what it would feel like to lose a child when losing any other family member is tough enough.

Her sister set up a go fund me account. I had not heard of this but I'm sure most of you have. It is one of those websites where you can create a page to raise money for an idea, new business or whatever. Her sister put up a page to raise money for expenses. In about a week she has raised $4,600 much of it from people she does not know. My daughter-in-law has always been kinda cynical about people and this country in that she thought everyone was out to make money for themselves and only government could redistribute the wealth to see the poor get "their fair share" as the greedy rich and corporations would never do it. She has been overwhelmed by the generosity of strangers and it has caused her to reevaluate what she has always thought to be true.

It may be cliche but Americans truly are the most generous people on Earth.

Her cancer came back with a vengence. It will take a miracle for her to see the spring flowers. Everyone has pretty much given up hope at this point. Please pray for her husband, my son in law, to have the strength to face this, my wife who broke down and cried in a resturant at breakfast this morning but most of all for my daughter in law. She dosnt have much time left and is saying goodby to all of her friends one last time. Ive done this with a vouple of family members and its tough but not as tough as watching my wife and son in law deal with it

Prayers for your DIL. I personally know how bad cancer can be. I have beat it 3 times with the help of prayers and an excellent Oncologist who is also a surgeon. So far have had 4 tumors removed from my right lung in the last 2.5 years. Melanoma not the usual lung cancer.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. My DIL's cancer has stopped spreading and is now shrinking due to more radiation and mostly in my opinion to your prayers. She is in good spirits and may smell the flowers yet.

Breast cancer shrank and she was feeling better but she got the news yesterday that it had spread to her brain and she is in the hospital. Not so good.
