View Full Version : What size Lee Sizer luber

I will be casting bullets for 30-30, 30-06, and 300 mag. what size should I get 308 or 309 - I ordered 30cal gas cks. to put on them. Will be using Lee 170gr bullet mold.

Get .311 and use for all. You want THROAT size, NOT grove diameter.

+1 on .311, .310 should also work if you can find it.

The Lee sizer will size but does not have the ability to lube bullets.

I know about the lube - plan on using lee's alox and tumble lube. Thanks to everyone- have gotten great help and advice to get me started. Only wish I had done this years ago.

+1 on .311, .310 should also work if you can find it.

.310 is not a standard size for the Lee push-through dies. But my experience has been that going the next size larger, rather than smaller, is often the better choice.

I will also be casting for 218 bee and 223- what size lee sizer should I get? 224 or 225

I have had excellent results with .225" in .221 Fireball, .222, and .223 as well as .22 Hornet.

Measure the guns. Either choose a sizer to fit the throats of yer guns or .002" over groove diameter...
