Why must you allow tracking to use this site?

While looking for an older thread that I wanted to reply to I found out that if you do not allow tracking you cannot go back more than six pages in a forum. Why is that?

I do not allow tracking and I go back further than that occasionally.

I have tracking off plus run do not track me and have gone back many pages.

I could only go back 3 pages on Hunting but searched and got what I was looking for 15ish pages back. From my laptop.

you can set how long or how far back your computer will show you. It's a forum setting.
