Hey folks,
Our good friend, Newtire, is going under the knife on Monday for a 4-way bypass. He has been feeling pretty rundown for a while now, and finally got in to get that checked out. The doctors found 3 arteries mostly blocked and the fourth about 50% blocked, too blocked for stents, so he will get the bypasses tomorrow.
Please say a prayer for his full recovery.

Thanks,

Don

God bless him and keep him safe.

My father had that done many years ago.
Within a month he was 30 years younger.

I got a text from Newtire and his Lady this afternoon (still not taking visitors). He told me that the surgery was successful, and even though he is still pretty worn out, he is looking forward to getting some of the old energy back. He was even able to get up and do a little walking today!

Keep the prayers and good thoughts coming folks. They seem to be working, and he's still got a long way to go.

Thanks for everything, so far!!

Made a visit to Newtire today.
Calvin was in good sprits and was very happy for the visit.
I believe he said no driving for a month and no SHOOTING for 3 months.
Said he may go home next weekend.

Thanks all for all the prayers and support. It must have all worked cause here I am at home now with the blood pressure of a teenager. I feel great as far as all the heart related symptoms go, a little short on breath but no chest pain at all. Nothing like it was before the surgery.

I have off and on back pain from a previous injury but probably to be expected after lying around on my back for a week.

Can envision the spot I'll be sitting in watching the whitetails go by this season. The leaves will all be turning and I'm viewing the flowers from the top side here in Star. Feels real good to be home.

Thanks everyone. You're quite a group!
