Well, my 4 year old daughter was with me at the sporting goods store and she found the shoot n see targets that are pink. Needless to say I bought a pack. After we got done mowing the field in front of the cabin we came back and got food in our bellies and hiked back to the cabin to do some shooting. She is shooting a cricket with a cheap 4x scope on it. The ammo is cci quiet shells since that is the best use I have found for them.

Ok, time for a pick.

I should have brought the camera with me to the cabin but maybe next time. By the end she was loading the shell and if the scope was close to the target she was getting it on the dot and shooting. She really picked up on the concept and wouldn't shoot if she couldn't get the cross hairs on the center.

All said and done she shot about 50 rounds give or take. This wasn't her first time out but it was the first time that we tried hitting the center consistently. She is following in her brothers steps. He is a pretty darn good shot.

Oh, by the way, the shots were at 100 yards. OK, maybe it was closer to 25 yards.

Just had to brag some.

Awesome!!! And darn impressive for a 4yo.

My seven year old squirt will be getting her first pink rifle from Santa this year....or so the rumor is!? She's lights out with my Browning T-bolt...can't wait to see what she can do with a rifle she can actually shoulder and manage a decent cheek weld. Sooooooooooo excited!!

Congratulations dad.

If her smile were any bigger her face might break.

Save that picture for her grand kids to match.[smilie=s:

Wow! Definitely worth bragging about. If that's how she shoots at 4 she will be out shooting you soon.

Awesome! And she'll just get better and better.
My little girl is undergoing "firing week" (http://www.recruitparents.com/bootcamp/qualification.asp) at Parris Island this week. I'm hoping all those BB's, .177 pellets, and .22 cartridges I bought over the years are paying off right now.

Thanks guys. It is hard to do anything without her. She has to be there to help and I am more than happy to have a little tagalong. She really likes driving the big tractor, even it if is just bringing up a bucket of firewood.

Dad started my brother and me shooting when we were about 4 and 5. Having been around them my whole live and taken out and allowed to shoot them all the time there wasn't any desire to sneak around and try to play with them when no one was looking. I have found that to be the same with my kids. If they have any desire to touch one they will ask me. They know I will stop what I am doing and let them. The mystery has been taken out of it and they are just like silverware and the dishes.

Trails- Thanks for the offer but I too put up a bit of a stash before the madness hit. It is great to see people helping others out. Thanks!

Dad told me this one time that little girls have a way of wrapping you around their little finger. Boy was he right!

You're right, Southpaw, little girls do have a way of wrapping up their daddies around their little finger. My oldest daughter did just that, minutes after she was born, and she knows it!. Granddaughters have the same capabilities, too!

If more fathers took the time to shoot, hunt and fish with their children, this would be a very different country right now. Good for you and congratulations to her for her shooting prowess.
