I have a couple Cz pistols I reload 9mm for and all the cz's I've ever owned have very short throats.

Is there any possible problems with me buying a throat reamer and making it longer? I only shoot lead for the most part so I don't want to cause any leading and/or shaving inside the barrel.

Have you shot it yet to determine if it leads? That would be my first move.

My CZ and Kahr have short leads too. Is there a problem with leading now? I shoot the 120tc and seat at the shoulder giving me an oal of 1.033. Works in all three of my 9mms. I would determine first if they lead the barrels, then fix the problem if there is one. My CZ75B OMEGA is a dream to shoot. The barrel and rifling are beautiful andit has never hiccupped.

No none of my cz's have any problems with leading just wanted to make sure extending the throat wasn't going to cause them to start.

Use a boolit like Lee 356-120 TC and it will not be a problem, most likely.
RN boolits are problematic in many 9mms. This is why the TC is the best
choice.

I have done it with both of my CZs and have done three others for fellow shooters. If done properly there is no problem.

I have not re throated a pistol barrel but have used a throating reamer in several rifle barrels for cast shooting. being a CZ Pistol barrel is similar to rifle barrel, No cylinder. I would think that a throating reamer would allow you to adjust the throat to what ever bullet you wish to shoot. My throating reamers have all be purchased from Manson reamers. You can also order a reamer with whatever angle you wish to have on the lead.

Is there a better/best angle for cast boolits?

I'm guessing the slower the taper the better?

I like the finish reamers linked below:
