Help. What does this magazine fit?

I came up with this magazine in a trade and don't have a clue what it fits. I'm going to assume it fits a Winchester rifle of some sort, but I've never seen one of these magazines before. Sorry for the fuzzy pic but the last pic of the magazine it says, Cal 243, Cal 308, Cal 358. Any help would be appreciated.110620110621

Just a guess. I'm leaning towards a Winchester 100 if it's kind of thin walled and chintzy.

I don't think it's for a Winchester 100. I'm pretty sure there was a W on the bottom of them. This one is smooth on the bottom with no writing. The only tell tail sign that it "Might" be a Winchester mag is the ctg designations on the end. And the 358 is not a common round but it is a Winchester round. Help me out guys.

the model 100 mags were all squared up and smooth sided as I recall.

Yup...Browning BLR pre 81 edition. If you got a good trade, you might be pleased to know that these magazines are priced upwards of $150 each and can be VERY hard to find. When I bought my BLR I called the factory and was advised that they had 3 magazines left in the .243/.308/.358 flavors. I remember the grief finding Rem 788 magazines, so I bought all of those BLR magazines. I read someplace that somebody had made some new ones, but didn't follow up on it as I have 4 of 'em and that has gotta be enuf for 1 rifle !! FWIW Pilgrim

What Pilgrim said. Mine is from about 1973. Bought an extra mag from Browning at the time. It cast me 35 bux. That was lot then !! Mike

Not a Winchester 100/88 since it has no lip around the base and would be stamped "Winchester" on the bottom. Probably a Browning as already mentioned.Robert
