I was at our local refuse transfer & recycling station yesterday & in the shed where they have free "partially enjoyed" household & garage chemicals found a can of Min-Wax floor polish wax.

The can's about the size of a can of JPW and inside the can was a kind of semi-solid wax with the same consistency as Kiwi shoe polish. Was just wondering if this stuff is basically the same stuff as Johnson's Paste Wax?

I figured that the price was right so may as well try it. Anyone else have any experience with this stuff?

I cannot comment specifically on the stuff you have in hand, but I do use a Min-Wax product called "Finishing Wax" all the time.... which has a consistency that is as you describe. The "finishing wax" is very like the Johnson's Paste Wax, in my experience....not much with which to choose between them, in my view. I hope that this helps you.

Works great on gun stocks to keep the moisture out.
