Was just on Gunbroker and saw a listing for Bullseye for 39.99 but the shipping was $45.50, are you &$&@!?) kidding me! $95 for a lb of powder? Would someone be stupid enough to buy that? I put it on my watch list to find out.

Why do people continue to support these guys! Have they not heard of gunbot?

There is a whole lot of comfort in having your powder on hand instead of praying you see it on gunbot before the rest of the U.S. does.

When you have none and you can't find any locally or on the internet at a reasonable price, if you want some, you'll buy it. I hate to admit it but I paid some extreme prices for primers last year, but only once.

I do not think Alliant even makes Bullseye any longer ! ;) ;)

I have not found a single pound for sale in southern California in over a year !
I did luck into three pounds of Unique last week ! :)

As long as someone will pay those prices - somebody will sell it at those prices.

I don't blame the blame the sellers for asking extreme prices when there are idiots willing to pay it.

It's gouging when the buyer has no choice and succumbs to the high price. It's stupidity when the buyer has a choice and pays it anyway.

Im sorry but I have been diligent enough to purchase just what I need off of the internet thanks to gunbot and it was all fair, cheaper than retail here in Reno. I just cant stand the powder gougers: "such as get it now" "super rare".

If you can't stand the "gougers" then you should email them and challenge them to a duel.

Alliant for sure still sells Bullseye. I bet you can find Bullseye before you find RL15

There are several pounds of Rl15 setting at a local shop. No BE has been there for quite a few months though.

I guess that is the way it is, sell it where they ain't. I'm keeping an eye out on gunbot for RL 7 and RL 15 but have not been looking for Bullseye. Have had 8 lbs of Promo on back-order for 3 months.

Best idea I've heard in a long time. So what would be your weapons of choice?

My LGS has a lot of Bullseye on the shelf. I've never used it. Maybe I'm overlooking something? :coffeecom

Personally, I don't like to use Bullseye. It has a lot of static cling in the measure and, as a result, it drops a bit irregular.

Get your measure old and coated with graphite to solve the static problem.

There must be at least one other person who likes Bullseye besides me because I sure can't find any around here ! :)
I have checked just about every supplier within a 50 mile radius for many months now !

Other powders don't cling on me, just Bullseye. I'm using HP38 now and it meters well.

I've not tried it but have a friend that uses a dryer sheet. Wipe the inside of the powder measure
Says it really works.

It seems that there are RARE few jugs of any Alliant powder at any of the sources near me.

As to the high prices on GB...some people have more money than time...God Bless them !

Puffer fish would be my weapon of choice.

Not having a stash of bullseye around is a bit nerve wracking for me. I have had to show much restraint on Gunbroker concerning those 8 lb kegs. Yeah, 16 lbs would cost more than a nice handgun, but it would load a boatload of ammo for all of my hand guns.

Bullseye is useful stuff. Not as versatile as Unique, but for a whole lot of handgun applications, it's great. I have loaded a lot fo 200 grain SWC plinking loads in .45 Colt and it works well there too. Lately, I've been using it in very light charges with non gas checked bullets in the .22 Hornet for .22 LR performance.

If you never used it, you owe it to yourself, especially if you shoot a .45 ACP or .38 Special.

Get with the times guys. A 5 grain load of $100 a pound powder is only $0.07/round. A cast boolit for practically free and a $0.03 primer is still less than a round of 22LR.

Not pretty but real.

^^^Same here. Next time a keg or two shows up on the free market, I'm just gonna suck it up and pay to play. I'll probably wean off other powders and sometime in 2023 when powders are available again, I'll go buck wild on Unique and Bullseye.

The route is still on the debate table with the Mrs. I want to roll through that area, she wants to go farther south. Sigh.

I wanted to stop by Tim's and let him scope my barrel now that it has 1,020 rds through it since the cut/crown and is still shooting in the .5's consistently.

I also need to see a brother of questionable background and morals so that we can ensure the stock of Coors light in his area is safe for human consumption.

I'll keep you updated.

I heard from a reliable friend that Fin Feather and Fur Had 500 8lb kegs of bullseye (159.00) at the start of the week on commercial row at Camp Perry. They sold oyt in 2-3 days. Powder was available primers were available and bullets somewhat. Varget and reloader series were to be found there. Its available but so many are stock piling hoarding that it is disapearing as fast as it arrives. He seen people carring 4 8 lb kegs out and coming back for more.
