My wife showed me that. You're right I had some tears. I got a big kick at the part where the old man had snow blown a path for the little boy so that he could come over. Kind of bittersweet, though.

I hope mom and dad make visits to the senior home a major priority for all concerned.

Reminds me how lucky I was to have both Grandpa's as my closest friends until I was nigh on to 40 years of age.

I miss them both every day.

I have many of their tools in my garage and every so often I smell an aroma...AquaVelva, soap and clean linen.
Yep, that's Grandpa and why does that guy over there in his garage have a tear in his eye?

Makes you hope some young couple moves in next door so you can be that crusty old dude in their life. Teaching them how to fix things rather than replace them, and how to live a life of satisfaction in what you have, not in search of what you "need"

The irony is that little boy is probably keeping Erling young. Will be heart breaking for both.
