If so, what calibers and how does it do?

Do you have any leading issues?

Has anyone here that fires fa tried coating their boolits instead of lubing and how did that turn out?

I was told by an acquaintance to load up 3 boolits and 1 fmj when shooting and the fmj would keep the bore clean, anyone heard of this before?

OK you just opened up a can of worms, lol, my experience is it will work on light leading but not so much medium to heavy leading. Some say it will iron the lead to the barrel and that may be true with heavy leading.

A friend of mine many years ago ran a lot of gas check cast bullets through his MAC 10. They shot just like ball rounds.
No leading.

We tested boolits in my friend's M-10 last year. Worked just fine, although the owner of the gun elected not to shoot them through his suppressor. We were not too sure what the residual lube would do to it.
Either way, it was a success!

I have shot quite a few cast bullets through numerous FA weapons; a lot of various sub guns in 7.62x25, 380 ACP, 9mm and 45 ACP, through numerous M1 Carbines (30 Carbine), through a M1919 BAR ('06), through a couple M60s (7.62 NATO), through an MG42 (8x57), through a couple M14s (7.62 NATO) and through a FN/FAL (7.62 NATO). Probably a couple others in there I've forgotten.

I had no leading issues but all bullets were my own cast bullets. The rifle cartridge cast bullets all were GC'd as was the 7.62x25s. Alloy for the handgun cartridges was most often COWWs (old) and the rifle cartridges were COWWs (old) or #2 alloy WQ'd. Lube was most often Javelina or Tamarac.

"load up 3 boolits and 1 fmj when shooting and the fmj would keep the bore clean"

Yes, I've heard it before and consider it BS and advise against it. With proper cast bullets, lube and load the bore will remain "clean".

Larry, what boolit did you like for the 7.62X25? I've been thinking about getting a Tokarev or a VZ-52 again ...

Due to cost im mainly looking to do 8mm mauser, .303 brit, and 30-06. Glad to see others have been successful. Anyone do any coating of the boolits?

311359. Cast of old WWs they dropped just over .312 and weighed 118 fully dressed. I was loading for a Tokarev pistol using .30 Mauser cases and dies at the time. Same loads worked fine in the PPSH44.

I've put a bunch of cast lead through SMG. If they are cast hard (WW's) and you have a good bore it's not a problem as long as there is no Cutts Compensator. A friend dumped a couple of drums through his 1928A1 Thompson and lead coated the Cutts!

I'm going to try and develop a reduced load using powder coated bullets for the .303 Lewis Gun. One advantage to the Lewis is the adjustable mainspring.

9mm and 45 ACP thru my UZI - My Suppressor is cleanable but it takes some elbow grease.

160 gr RN 9mm worked fine in an Uzi and an MK760. Also in a semi Uzi, Marlin Camp Carbine and a Sub 2000 KelTec.
