Our 13 year old pool was on its last leg, leaks, rust, it was time.
So what better way to test a few boolits.
12 ga .690 round ball, 45 Colt and 44 Mag.
Wife shooting the Saiga, me shooting the 44.
She put one low that broke the bottom out.

Honorable death by firing squad. Did you play 'Taps'?

Did you check penetration in water. Easier than filling water jugs.

Well........I have a small leak in my pool, but not as big as that. Mine is a 30,000 gallon in-ground cement pool! And the leak is on the bottom thru one of the pop-up cleaner heads you cannot get to without digging under the pool!!!!!

Looks like it will just continue to leak a bit.

Good shootin.

Dunno if this makes me a Red Neck or not, but I use an old Keene dredge pump. It works much faster than renting a sump or bilge pump, and I happen to have one already.

Uses a couple of gallons of gas, but man it sure is fast!

Most went 5 to 6 feet, one was 10 feet, but I did not let anyone "watch" from the side.

Although not used for a reaction target ! a few weeks ago a friends above ground pool 34' x 5' side collapsed causing a flash flood of his yard and flooding of the basement / house entering mostley through the burst open kitchen screen door.

Over the weekend the kids had some firecrackers they were playing with. I made the mistake of telling them that the fuses were waterproof. The birdbath got a good splashing from them then the kids threw one into my daughters kiddie pool. A six inch gash was blasted in the bottom of the little pool, now I owe her a new pool.
