I am loading .40 S&W 145 grain Lee LSWC to an OAL of 1.100" in a Lonewolf barrel in my Glock 35. The case OD fits easily in the ID of the chamber. When I drop the round into the barrel during a plunk test the LSWC edge sticks on the ridge at the end of the chamber. My barrel slugs at .400" and the boolits drop at .402"-.403". I am NOT sizing them to .401" in a sizing die but loading them as dropped.

They shoot fine and the slide will close in battery. However, if I let the slide load a cartridge I am unable to manually cycle the slide to eject the unfired round because the lead is hanging up at the end of the chamber.

I measured the stock barrel from the breech face to the edge of the chamber and its exactly the same length as the LW barrel. When I plunk test the OEM barrel it sticks as well.

When I seat the boolit in the case the square edge of the semi wad cutter is sticking out past the case end about the thickness of your fingernail. If I seat the boolit deeper so the edge of the SWC shoulder is even with the end of the case I fear that it will build too much pressure in the case.

Any ideas guys?

Seat deeper. Work back up from the bottom. Done.

That would be a fail on the plunk test. Also, try sizing down to .401-.402

ALL the above.

This is a failed plunk test.

OK, I resolved the issue after lots of trial and error. Sized and loaded a few to my normal OAL of 1.100" and they stuck as well. Then I pushed them a bit deeper to 1.080" OAL and all is well. Thanks for all of the suggestions guys.
