I have a Lyman 45 and a 450.The pressure nut was busted on the 45 (the brass sleeve)and the 450 had the same pressure nut so I swapped them.I like the 45 better because of the easy die changing. The other nut I wrapped string around it and it does work once the string soaked up the lube. My question is did Lyman keep the same thread on the new rods on the 4500? I would like to replace the old pressure nuts with the new O ring type and do not want to replace the rod too if I do not have to.

Glad to help.

Replacement O-rings, for the pressure nut, should be available from you local hardware store's plumbing department.

(Had to include your question, because "Yes", being of only three characters, doesn't meet the five character minimum reply.)
