Well I finally got moved, mostly. Moved from Salem to the southwest (southwest Oregon). Moving 20 years of accumulation can be the pits. Not only the lead and reloading/casting stuff, but more than 20 years of collecting tools and a lot of ect.
figure 3 more trips with the 26 ft truck will just about get it. In the meantime this old fart has to recuperate for awhile.

Moving after twenty years? OOF...

I have been here ten years and have no intentions of ever moving again. I need to build a new house, but even that entails some moving, maybe I'll just put a new roof on this one...

Moving sucks, no doubt about it. I'm planning my next move to be carried out with 6 of my friends!

On my move back in January, I had about ten of my CAST BOOLIT friends show up to help. I am confined to a wheelchair, but even so my CB amigos had me set up in my new apartment 180 miles away, that very same day.

Talk about friends.... some came as far as 600 miles to help me out, and ALL are long-standing pals directly as a result of this very website.

Was I grateful? Words fail me.

Well, I'm right in the middle of process and already sick of it! The biggest issue is that the new location is over 2,000 miles away so I can't make multiple trips. Been sorting out all of my loading compornents but never hated my hobby as much as now. Just about everything is too heavy for the volume...

As y'all have read I've bought a new camping trailer. I've had the old one for 14 years and only used it for deer camp. I let the old one go in the deal so I started cleaning out the stuff, dang why did I collect so much junk just to hunt. I bet I threw away 4 large garbage bags and kept about the same. I had so much trash for a better word for everything. I don't know what I have to do if I moved off the farm with what I've got. A big fire might be the best thing and start over.

I sold a place in East Texas and moved to West Texas to farm. I held a farm auction and sold all the tractors, rowcrop equipment, hay equipment, combines, trucks ect and just moved the shop tools and equipment along with household and kid stuff. Still had 5 trucks and goosenecks loaded and my Dad wound up pulling the welding service trailer.

Did I say I hate moving.

With 3 shops 15 tractors 10 antique engines and the stuff that goes along with these, I plan on never moving again--let the kids worry with the "stuff".

Off topic, but the bride says my obituary will read, "Bear's funeral will be immediately after the auction."

I must have missed when you moved. Good family here, really good! If only we all could remember that Golden Rule we were taught as kids.

I do remember when
BruceB moved, I was unable to help. Great bunch of guys!

After we moved here 7 years ago (three 24' trucks, five loads on the 16' flatbed trailer, uncounted loads in the pickup. All for a 500 mile move-lumber, tools, metal, tractors, household, etc.)

Told the old woman that the next time we do something like that we'll have an auction then start over.

I want one of those old single cylinder diesels. Things will burn straight veg oil. Makes a nice generator when geared up.
