Picked this up at the 40yd line of the rifle range, pistols are used there also.
Looks like it hit a steel plate and formed a drop on the back of the boolit.

Now that is unique, I've never seen that in range lead. Put that on your reloading bench as a conversation piece.

Would make one think it was of a rather soft alloy. Interesting splash effect. I'd keep yjay one.

I see something very like that with the shotgun slugs we train with on steel, but I've never seen one with that little "droplet" still attached - just the base of it.
