There's a limit screw on the rim that arrests the upper opening movement of the valve handle. On my pot this screw came loose... came OUT and provided an OH CRUD moment until I could get the valve rod back in the hole. The screw won't tighten so it's going to happen again unless there's some fix that I'm unaware of.. Any ideas?

Ah ha.. I see its something that's come up before...

I see there's a retro valve arm.

I took delivery today of a new Lyman dipper so if this happened mid-casting session I could continue casting by using the dipper. Been a long time since I dipped:).

I've never found a satisfactory eyelet, I currently just have a long naked screw in place. If someone has a link to the correct eyelet it would be much appreciated.

You can remove that panel and replace it or bend the u-channel together a bit to retain the screw again. Pliers work fine for squeezing it.

If Lee can't do anything can you drill and tap a new hole one size larger?

drop of lead around the screw works. best way is a nut on the bottom . the bolt/screw replacement is a screw that you get for drawer handles/knobs
