Two weeks ago I went to Farm and Fleet in Muscatine. Bought 2 plastic 5 shelf push together shelf kits. When I got home it took me 30 minutes to move all the scrap wood out of the way so I could get next to the wall. That's when I decided to see how many shelves I could make with the stuff I had around. Built 2 4 foot deep 10 foot long. a work bench about 6 foot long. 4 20 foot long light weight selves for the wife's yard stuff they were 10 in wide. This was all in the garage then I started on the gun room. This is one side. I have some organizing to do but I think I like it. I can't get the pic to up load so I'll try again later. Also wired in 5 over head lights on 2 separate switches. And 9 outlets

When I built my house in 1986 I only loaded for 2 calibers. 4 ft. x 8 ft. room in the basement should be plenty big enough. Next thing you know I'm up to 30+ calibers and stuff is running over into the wood shop. There's no such thing as enough room for gun stuff.

I can't get pics to upload. Hope you can see them this way. Just remember I'm not a carpenter and its scrap lumber.

This is a 22 X 13 one stall attached garage I insulated and heat all winter. No AC in the summer though.

OP, try using photobucket. It will give you the direct link to put into the post so people will not have to go elsewhere to see them. It also doesn't require a membership to view someone's pictures.

In totes on the floor, some cluttering the back of the bench, on top of the freezer and gun safe.. The plan was to get everything off the floor so I can use a leaf blower to clean house. ;)

I agree with the whole point of this thread. Had I known what I know now, before we bought this house, I would have tried to convince my wife that the master room in our house needed to be my reloading station and the small office that is now my sanctuary should be our bedroom.

Good job. I did remodel one bed room in my first house in La. for to be my new reloading room but never moved the equipment out of my shop. I've moved now and rented that house out. It will make the guy a good office. I kept my shop and it is better set up for loading, casting, cleaning lead, etc. Just not so easy to heat and cool.

Sorry no pic of the front half of the 16*24 building is powder, primers, mould storage and casting area along with fridge. and microwave. Now I gotta replace that old 13" TV for a flat screen.

Something else I'm trying out, just started last summer.

This is my 4th gun room, started with a 6X6 corner in the basement loading 38sp. Had to move several times over the years and got a bigger room each time.

LOL, I'm doing most of my reloading and casting from a Fiver RV Travel Trailer. Talk about needing more room. Some day, Lord willing and the creek don't rise, I'll retire and go home.
I set up a 10X12 Gazebo to work under.

That gazebo gives me ideas like I need one to get out of the sun when casting.

If you go this route, anchor it down well. You can't tell from my picture but all four corners are anchored down. On the RV side, there is a ratchet strap on both legs coming all the way from the top frame to the slide out on the RV.
The other side, I have augers screwed into the ground with ratchet straps again.

We go through some bad winds from time to time. My Gazebo is going on three yrs and I believe I hold the record here at this RV park keeping one from getting blown away. My roof is showing signs of wear with a few small splits but I found a new roof and it's ready to go whenever this one finally gives up.

If you're going to be in the doghouse; might as well be the one who builds the doghouse.

We just moved, so I lost my 30' by 40' garage. I have a 24' by 24' detached which I'm currently expanding to 24' by 40'. Not as spacious as before, but should suffice. Framed it two weekends ago with family help, will get the roof on this Wed. Be good to get all my stuff accessible.

LOL I sold stuff at fleamarkets back in the 90s and had the carry one over two isles. After that I put the stakes in first before putting the top on.

Yes and yes. The cub was doing great one day till I looked at my watch. It has a new wing. The other was doing great till a little wind came up and left me with no control so I set it down or rather up in a 30' pecan tree. No damage to the apprentice but did get a fire wood out of the deal. Go a new run way set up in hay field abt 30'*300' that should give me time to line up and land. I have a friend that flies $5k - $9k helo's and I've seen him crash so my $150 & $300 foamies are expendable. Lots of fun for me, hopefully one day I'll get a nice one.
