I have appreciated those members who have given a "heads-up" when hard to find items come in stock, so I thought I would return the favor. Starline has 45/70 brass available for pre-order with a ship date of 7/3. It's been a while since I have seen them in stock so if you need some, here they are.

Thanks! Good 45/70 brass lasts forever it seems like if you aren't shooting super heavy loads in it. I have about 200 pieces right now in addition to another 100 or so that have already been loaded up or I would jump on this.

I saw a bag of 50 for sale at bass pro the other day when I was there. Picked up the bag..hmmm wonder what they want for it... 45.00. I'm good, think I have enough for now. :D

Only 300 pieces? Any good hoarder would order up another 500 or so. Not that I would do anything like that.

Edit, just fyi 500 cases are $215 shipped and 250 cases are about $128 shipped.

Second Edit @ Blade, sounds like I need to order me up a few thousand cases and sell them to fund my summer vacation LOL

Hmmmmmm. I remember the GB order that took near a year. I'll make do with those till I can pick some up, even if it does cost more. My BP levels are more important.

Just a word of caution. If you need the brass, order it now. I had just been waiting for a run of 45 Colt brass from them. They finally posted the expected ship date, I ordered right away, and my order arrived about a week before that date. When their posted date arrived, there wasn't much brass left after filling their pre-orders. It ran out quickly. 45-70 brass has been in even shorter supply, so who know how long it will last.
On the bright side, it does appear that they are catching up to some degree. Their runs of various calibers seem to be getting a little closer together than they were for the last year.

The last run of 45/70 was only a few
months back. It's not like it was two years ago. I would still order it I'd I needed it. But their runs are getting closer and closer together.

They are doing a run of 40-65 at the same time, so I have 500 of those on pre-order. Now if they would just run 32-20 I'd be all set...

Well I'm sure glad I ordered mine before I posted. I learned the hard way when Jeff Bartlett had kegs of Herco for sale and I posted up while thinking about it. It sure went quick and I missed out. I hope this helped someone out.
