I found this mold on sale on EvilBay. I plan on using it for some reduced loads in the 30 Herrett , 32-20, and 30-30 barrel in my TC Contenders. I am always leery of pointed cast boolits.
Any suggestions if my idea will work? Looking for a nice 75-90 yard plinking/varmint load.
I have a SKS and an AK but I have not started to load for them.

it has been a good boolit for me. It is a cylindrical boolit and does not seem to misalign like some of the sleeker boolit designs do. I shoot it is a 30-30 handy rifle and use it in my garand and can produce loads stiff enough to fully function the action. for both calibers I size the boolits in a .311 push through die. I feel that you can go to full power loads in a 30-30 class caliber without too much trouble.

I have used this boolit in my 30-30 Encore rifle. I size it at .310 and find it to shoot very well.My favorite Lee boolit for my 30-30 Encore is their C312-185 1R. Sized at .310 I have shot a lot of 5 shot one inch 100 yard groups. It does a bit better than the C312-1552R......Terry

312-155 works in just about any .30 cal rifle. Drops at 160grs+ with WW for me. I'd look at the Lyman manuals for guidance to load data. The pistol powders like unique, bullseye and red dot offer a good ROI for short range plinkers. As does casting out of air cooled softer alloy. Save WW's for the higher powered loads.
