ok i went looking for some beeswax. not sure if this is the right stuff. but for a wopping dollar its worth a shot. they only had one at the flea market. looks like it could be to me. it tastes a lil sweet.

so is this a beeswax candle i can use for the casting/cleaning process???

That is foundation for the frames in a bee hive.

that is typically not 'foundation' for a bee hive, it looks it. but I suspect it was specifically patterned to look like it and rolled for the sole purpose of being a candle.

Foundation now comes in sheets like sheets of paper is fairly ridged, if bent it will crack. Some has wires running vertically about every 5 inches and poking out the top and bottom of the sheet of wax. There is also some wax foundation that has no wires in it.

If you try to unroll it I suspect it will crack.

For fluxing, it will work perfectly as any candle would.

I would not use it for melting as "PURE BEESWAX" for a lube, because it is questionable if it is or not.

According to my wife it is bees wax. They have it in craft stores to make instant or easy candles. You could stop by a craft store like Michaels and check.
