I'm not sure if this is the right category for this question. I am interested in starting to cast bullets for rifles. I already load .223 and 30-06. I am going to trade my Remington 7400 for a Ruger American in 30-06 and I plan to pick up a Ruger American in .223.

I have been looking for data for loading lead in rifle cartidges. Is there any reloading manuals that give lead data for rifles? Are there any good books you guys recommend? Thanks.

There's lots of good information right here, and several good books devoted to lead bullets. However, for starters I suggest Hodgdon loading data, available online at http://hodgdon.com/. A good place to start is 60% of maximum for H4895.

Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook, 4 th Edition is in print . If you can , get a copy of the 3 rd Edition also . Both are dedicated to cast boolits and the older edition has lots of good information not in the newer. The newer has some updated data , powders and boolit moulds not contained in #3.
These are my initial go to's when looking for data or mould information.

Even lyman's 49th has quite a bit of load data all relating to their molds.
