I was on the notify list at MIDWAY for Aguilar 22 SHORT.

At 2:43 today they said the ammo finally was in stock.

I clicked on at 2:43 only to be told they were sold out already.

How many folks actually fire 22 SHORT ammo to make it vanish that fast.

Well, it was not me and I really want some .22 Short ammo. I relined an old boys rifle and figured I would chamber it in 22 short to limit any future owners ideas of shooting the hot 22 LR choices in it.

Dang!! I much prefer 22 shorts, but switched to 22lr since it was easier to find. What I would really like is a case or two of the CCI Quiet ammo.

Well I was hoping that FOREIGN 22 shorts would work in the Astra Cub I bought in Gibraltar in 1959.

Not one brand made in America will reliably run even one magazine without a FTF.

Yes I have been told that they have a slightly longer length than American chambers but at this rate we may never know.

Did you find transitioning from swords and slings, to firearms, a difficult transition?

That was a no brainer.

Transitioning from a spear to archery was a whole new ball game.:bigsmyl2:

Remember, Bad Water Bill was in the navy, the Roman navy.....
They didn't allow those types of armaments around all the sails. Pokes too many holes. :kidding:

Bill, please don't send Girty to kick my butt. Mule bites hurt like crazy....

Dang! I knew BWB had served in the Continental Navy, but I had no clue he served in the Roman Navy as well!

No but our biggest problem was trying to keep the Marines we had on board from barfing all over our freshly holystoned decks and get some practice time in firing the new fangled things instead of hanging over the rail and yelling for some Irishman named O ROARK:bigsmyl2:

Sorry, BWB. I couldn't help myself. I saw 1959 and thought "Gee. What was I doing in 1959? Oh wait, I wasnt born yet. I wonder what my parents were doing in 1959? Oh, wait. They weren't born yet either."

Your parents weren't yet born in 1959? Probably sound kinda odd to ya that my mother was born in the 1800's huh? Mom robbed the cradle with my Dad, he wasn't born until 1915.

He mopped pitch on the inside of the Ark to make it water tight. In return Noah gave him a ride. He's been a sea faring man ever since.

Believe me NO ONE has more fun with this stuff than the "DIRTY OLD MAN" with his mule.

Love Life and I have been doing this for a couple years now and I hope he and others keep up the fun.:bigsmyl2:

Yes I did serve as captain on one of those Phoenician ships and before that well you get the idea.

Hehehehehe. I wait and watch for the opportunity to poke fun at the sister services. We may need to tone the fun down a bit though as I wouldn't want anybody to break a hip. Shazam!! Got me a two-fer!!

I was listed for a number of 22 LR target ammo. I kept getting the notice, but always missed and never scored. I think it is all BS just to get you to their site. I've scratched Midway off my list.

No fighting old age. I just hope to enter it gracefully!! I'm thinking a cane with a sterling silver knob and ebony shaft will help.

Well I am not saying that I am old, but, if the thread slides into early cave painting I think I will be able to add a little to it, and no I haven't transitioned into finger painting.

Have you told anyone just how many years it took me to teach those supposed artists to use a chewed up sapling instead of their finger?

They never could figure out why their mastodon steaks tasted funny after painting using their fingers.[smilie=b:

I was a senior in high school in 1959.
Those were truly the good old innocent days in my mind.
No drugs nor full body tattoos here in the back woods.....dale

I'm suprised they sold that fast .Now days everyone wants "more speed". In my youth I killed a ton of gophers with .22 shorts. My uncles pastures were comparable to prairie dog towns.

I used to by them to get by the covenants where I bought my house in North Carolina. I had 6 acres, was surrounded by trees, but no shooting (I'll never make that mistake again). I spent many a day plinking with 22 shorts and really fell in love with the little bugger.

I have seen that a number of times with different products I was on the notification list for .. Some items there should not be anyway they sold out of in minutes ..
like you I have quit looking

Humm, a little bit ago I had an e-mail from MidSouth about blems and picked up some .25. I typically check my e-mail twice a day. Maybe I was lucky.

Should have showed them how to use fire!! But then what do I know? I had the patent on dirt for a while, but I let it go because I didn't think dirt would ever catch on!!

Then some--------------------decided to patent it :bigsmyl2:
