So I have my lead alloyed (close to Lyman#2) and poured into ingots. Now I'm looking to actually cast some bullets and seeking suggestions on molds. I shoot an 1892 Winchester .44mag with a 1:26 twist and an 1873 .357 mag with a 1:18.75 twist. 20 inch barrels on both.

I mostly shoot at the range but occasionally hunt for whitetail and feral hogs. For the sake of consistency I would like to pick one mold and load for each.

So if you could pick one and only one for each, what would it be?

I suppose it might depend on your budget, but speaking in general,,,
The 92 might argue with a semi-wadcutter design, but still a decent choice for both. I load 45 colt for a 92 (rossi) it does feed fine.
Lee might be a good place to do some experimenting as their molds are not too spendy, plus you can sell it here if the need arises.

Also for the 92, Lee makes a 310 gas checked RN flat point that many rave over for hunting.
I hope this is helpful!

As it is I shoot Winchester 240 gr JSP out of it now and it eats them up. I am looking really hard at the Lyman #429667 for the .44 mag and the Saecco #354 for the .357

I suggest you look at a Lyman 429667 or a Lee 44-200RNFP for your .44 mag. The nose designs on these boolits easily allow them to feed into most .44 mag rifles.

My JM Marlin will sometimes balk at the 358429 which is my favorite general purpose 38/357 boolit in my handguns. I do have a 360-180 WFNGC that seems to function fine in the Marlin. It would also function superbly in a hunting role. Dont do much with 44, so not much experience there.
