I was going through some old articles I had filed away and ran across a Starline brochure w/price list. The list is somewhat shorter than their current offerings.

Examples:

.44 Mag. $52/500 $94.50/1000
.45 Colt 54/500 97.00/1000
.454 Casull 103/500 189/1000

I wish I had had the cash to "hoard" a supply.

So they're at slightly less than a 40% increase. W/ the cost of brass alone I'm surprised it's not more.

Truthfully, I am too. And, I can better afford it now than I could when I was still saving for retirement.

No surprise. I used to buy brass sheet and barstock (1/2" - 4" diameter) for 0.70/# back then. Now I am luck to get it for $3.50/#. I did stock up (or "hoard" as we seem to call it on here) on brass bar and sheet I use and have hundreds of pounds of it at those lower prices.

Just the price of copper and brass these days.

So, in 15 years the price of brass has about doubled. Up ---------------------100%
I was paying $1.12/gallon for diesel 15 years ago. Now it's $4.00/gallon; up 357%
Commodity prices are up by about --------------------------------------------100% to over 300%
CEOs compensation is up a whopping -----------------------------------------300%.
Blue collar worker wages have increased by about -----------------------------36%
Those danged American blue collar workers have a lot of gaul to declare that they're worth more money.
