I'am above all else a bird hunter, when I can't do that I mess with the silver streaks, I'am sure a lot of you go both ways (shooting of course). Question do plastic one piece wads have a lifespan if their stored in a cool cellar, no sun. I have a lot I bought in the eighties and they seem as good as new. What is your opinion. Frank C.

My opinion, they will be just fine. Especially out of the sun. Mike

Definitely out of the sun, a buddy stored a couple bags of Winchester red wads on a shelf in front of a window in his loading room. He wasn't sure how long, thought about two years. When he went to use them, the petals broke off with very little force and you could break the cushioning posts by squeezing them between your fingers.

If they're stored in a cool dark place they should be fine.

I've got some I purchased over 30 years ago. Looked at them last week, seemed OK.

I had a batch of wads that were stored in a basement for many years and they were useless. If you bent the petals they would break off.

If they are still flexible - they should be OK
