Ok in a previous thread we dicused loads. I got 2 loads that are shooting good. 350 gr Ranch Dog 38 gr IMR 3031 405 Hollow base lee 36 gr 3031. I put a long range ladder sight on it and I have to put it on #3 setting on the sight to be on at 100 yards. I knew I would be replacing the front site so I waited to see what size to get. I want a lyman Globe like they have on the H&R Buffalo Classics. I just need to know what size to get. The front sight on it now measures roughly .545 inch. The lyman sights come in .404 .465 .494 .584 .854. I know we can rule out the last two, one is about what I have the other is higher. I don't know for sure just how low it was hitting but I will try to see tomorrow, we have tornado warnings in the area right now. Can anyone help me figuire out which one I need?
Its on a Marlin 1895 45-70 Cowboy
Thanks
Jeff

Thanks Jon
I will go ahead and order it. That is the one I was looking at the most. I put a laser in the bore and sighted it where I was hitting today and then put a mark on the front sight and the .404 looked to be pretty close.
