What a perfect afternoon to fire up the pot and cast some boolits.
Today it was the RCBS 148 WCDE
Cast around 200 or so. They are ready for a little 45-45-10 then 3.5gr of bullseye.
It was a good day.

Took my wife out shooting. Club has covered benches so I stayed dry. My targets got a little soggy, but we had a good time anyway. No one was there but us. Had some Antonio's pizza and a couple of beers afterward, date night. She likes the AR9mm, but loves her 1911 the most. A little something I put together for her a few years ago. 1911's take some work to build. Kinda caught me off guard, but we have enough rainy days around here to take my time with it.

I smelted some range scrap. For what it is worth, canola oil that was used to deep fry halibut beer bits makes an exellent flux. Use motor oil, your neighbors call the cops. Use fish fry oil, and they come over with their forks and some cole slaw.

Rainy - not this week - 80 degree on the beach
Clam tides almost all week.

Went out the last two mornings - @ 0600 - shirt sleeve (and shorts) weather.

Wish I could boast that I limited (15 clams) like everyone else, but I am not worthy.....about 1/2 limit a day.

There is always tomorrow morning...

Those came out great. I cast a few hundred of the ler 148 wc from a single cavity i got from a member here a little bit ago and with a small charge of promo they worked really nice. Great boolit

What are you using for alloy? I tried 50/50 coww/pb

I see some pretty big cavities on the sprue cuts...

We could use some rain here - nothing but fire storms in San Diego right now. 98 degrees out now, and the Cocos fire is right over the hill from where I am...

Not really as bad as the pic makes them look. That side gets loaded outside the case anyway.
