It looks like they are changing a tire on the white 60's chev (impala?), But it's jacked up way more than needed ;)

Yeah , that one didn't fit in with the rest as it is someones "gangsta" cruiser in the works.. hydraulics..
thinking about it ,some would say the military jeep doesn't fit in ether but love it all any way.
Love the area here with all this variety , Lake Tahoe is just over the hill in the background.
Would love to take a bunch more pics of all the beautiful restorations but don't want to limit out here.

1963 Chevrolet Impala. Came with stock front beach seat. Option was front buckets with center console. Engines available at that time were, 265 ci inline six, 283 ci (198 hp), 327 ci with several options of HP. 250 hp (stock) and up to 300, 325, 350, and 375 hp. And you could get it with the famous 409 ci. Munsie 4 speed or aluminum case 2 speed powerglide. Damn I miss those days and cars. Muscle cars ruled the streets back then.

Are you near Carson City? As for the M1919, it has 7.62X51 belted blanks, and the Beast on the pedestal mount is an M2 Browning .50 Cal MG (imagine 4 of these with the 200 rd cans in the Anti-Aircraft version). The M1927 Thompson is equally cool, he should at least have a Garand in a scabbard somewhere on that Jeep. I like the spoils of captured MP38 (or 40), Potato Masher grenade, wine bottle, and the period correct box of Murial cigars and Hershey's.
Thanks for sharing.

The 265 was not an inline 6, it was a V8 that had an external (as not cast into engine block) oil filter base. The inline 6's of the day (GM) were 216, 235, and later the mighty 292. They could all be hotrodded. But ya gotta love community days like that!! Nice pics. JW

Yeah, but did it come with hydraulics like that gansta cruiser, so you could change a flat tire after a "Drive by" without using a bumper jack ;)

Thanks for the input there Got-R-Did , Glad you picked up on the details .
And yeah , Just South of Carson City , in the Minden/Gardnerville area , If you point a rifle in the right direction , the boolit might land on the Calif. side.
Where else in the country can you have 3 gun shops and one specialty reloading (just opened) shop , within a couple miles.
With Carson City just to the north and their shops and a Sportsmans Warehouse just opened up , not a bad place at all.
Love life lives just a few miles down the road from here , enjoys the area a lot with all the mountains to explore also.
Biggest problem is trying to save money with all the "toy stores" close by. .....

I knew a guy that had a 409 with twin 4 barrel Holley's, I think the only thing that limited the power output of that setup was the inner diameter of the fuel line ! :D
And then there was the two gears of the "Powerglide" that we referred to as Fast and Faster.

Yeah , had a 68 EL Camino with the 327 and powerglide tranny ..sure miss it these days.
Friend had a 69 camino SS with the 396 big block ... wrapped it around a tree , brought tears to my eye.
I put that same motor in my "plain jane" camino and that turned it into a "sleeper" ..only things i changed was the front springs for the weight difference and the exhaust
The rest was bolt in , loved that machine as it still had the "327" factory numbers on the side , plane generic exterior , but ..... drop the hammer and did we go !! .. talk about fast !
Besides , always have had a soft spot for the snarky front end designs of the 68-69 chevelle years ..
