Spotting Scope

Recently I bought a late 1950's Bushnell Sentry II spotting scope. This one was made in Japan and there are no " short cuts " in the construction or optics quality on this one. Pretty amazing optics quality in this one.

The fellow I bought the scope from shipped the lenses in their original box. Fine if you're a collector , but for going back and forth to the firing range, I needed something a bit more rugged and substantial to protect my delicate eyepieces that fit my spotting scope.

Where there is a will there is a way ( " Bubba " will find it ).

I don't think I'll need to be concerned about the safety of the lenses anymore........

Nice. I use a piece of pvc pipe to hold my chronograph metal and wood guides. If friction becomes an issue, you could always add a threaded adapter.

I do the same with my cleaning rods---all have their own PVC case. Some have the thread adapter, after all I was a pipefitter in my other life

A good block of pine and a good wood bit would create 3 spots in a holding box as well. Great work with the PVC for a quick fix.
